If you know my mom, you know her grandkids are the most important people in the world to her. What kind of Mother's Day would it be if she couldn't at least see them?

With COVID restrictions in place, we had to sneak the kids in from different entrances in a somewhat covert opp to meet in the cafeteria. I love covert opps, so this was right up my alley.

I told the nurses I was taking Mom on a walk, and we snuck her down to the 1st floor cafeteria to see her grandkids.

Dylan was stuck in the parking garage because the staff was on to us by the time we got Hannah and AJ through, but we were able to have a quick visit with the kids (and we Facetimed Dylan in). It made all the difference in Mom's spirits for the rest of the day.

We returned to her floor with gifts from the kids, and we definitely got some disappointed glances in our direction from the nurses, but it was a Mother's Day she'll never forget.

And how cool is this awesome gift from the kids?
